About the Conference:
The 2025 Orphan and Idle Wells Northern Appalachia Conference will be held November 5-6 in Pittsburgh. The event brings together regulators, industry, and community leaders to explore solutions for managing abandoned oil and gas wells across Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and surrounding states.

The Challenge:
Thousands of abandoned wells across the region leak methane, contaminate water, and pose safety risks—many hidden in forests or remote terrain. With new funding and growing urgency, this is a key moment to tackle legacy wells and protect communities.

Our Commitment:
To bring together senior executives from across the orphan and idle wells ecosystem—creating an event where actionable insights and meaningful connections drive collaborative solutions and new partnerships for environmental, regulatory, and operational challenges in the Northern Appalachia region.
