Ron is a Management and Program Analyst at the U.S. Department of the Interior, Orphaned Wells Program Office. Ron has worked in oil and gas since 2009, spread between the public and private sectors. This includes experience in urban environments, such as Denver and Fort Worth. Ron has worked on matters throughout Texas, including in the Permian Basin.
Ron joined the Orphaned Wells Program Office in June 2023, and has been pivotal to the development of the State Matching and Regulatory Improvement Grant opportunities. Under these two opportunities, a total of up to $1.5 billion may be awarded to States to address orphaned wells located on State or private lands.
Ron earned a law degree from the University of Arizona, and practiced oil and gas law for just under nine years before joining the federal government. Prior to becoming an attorney, Ron was a management consultant at Deloitte, focusing on information technology and business process reorganization. In his free time, he enjoys traveling both within the United States and abroad.
