Dr. Lee received his Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering at Seoul National University in South Korea and his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Sangbum has several years of experience as an Engineer working for ExxonMobil Upstream Research, and as an Operations Research Manager with BASF. He has also been involved in multiple publications.

Dr. Sangbum Lee is providing analysis supporting the Strategic Systems Analysis and Engineering (SSAE) Directorate at NETL. He has extensive experience in process systems engineering, upstream energy optimization, downstream energy optimization, and operations research management in an industrial setting.
