Mr. Figgins has 46 years of experience as a Geophysicist with a focus on site characterization, remediation, and litigation support. He has used surface geophysical methods to locate improperly abandoned oil wells that created a pathway for secondary recovery oil field brines, which impacted shallow drinking water supplies. Recent projects have included the oversight of oil well abandonment for site redevelopment, including surface soil remediation methods to meet stringent residential regulatory clean up levels. He has focused on determining the most-applicable remediation approach for various hydrogeological targets in soil, groundwater, and soil vapor, to satisfy regulatory agencies. Mr. Figgins has worked closely with a variety of regulatory agencies to provide creative approaches on clients’ behalf to accelerate the site closure process.
