Georgia Petropoulos is the President and CEO of B3K Prosperity, a dynamic nonprofit economic development organization guided by a mission to bring the region together to imagine, engineer, and build the next era of success that advance economic growth, shared prosperity, and the creation of quality jobs in Kern County California. A natural bridge builder, Ms. Petropoulos organizes the voices of multiple industry sector leaders, representing government, for profit, non-profit and civic organizations, focused on expanding critical industry sectors – such as Energy, AG Tech, Aerospace and Defense and Entrepreneurship – to strategically position Kern County for success in the rapidly evolving national and global marketplace. Prior to her employment at B3K Prosperity, Ms. Petropoulos was the CEO of the Oakland Business Improvement District where she was responsible for designing and executing innovative place management and economic development initiatives in support of one of Pennsylvania’s largest economic centers and thriving university and hospital led innovation district. In addition to her executive career, Ms. Petropoulos has served on various boards and advisory committees including the Presbyterian Shadyside Hospital Board of Directors, the Pittsburgh City-Allegheny County Task Force on Disabilities, Community Human Services, the Oakland Transportation Management Association, The Community Design Center of Pittsburgh and Chair of the Urban Land Institute Pittsburgh Chapter.

As a bi-lingual daughter of Greek immigrants, Ms. Petropoulos is enthusiastic about language, culture and design and has enjoyed extensive travels throughout North America, Australia, Africa, and Europe. Most notable are her travels to Ghana where she led a team to Accra to participate in policy discussions as part of the First International Cross-Diseases Conference on Disability Prevention in the Developing World. Ms. Petropoulos earned a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. In her undergraduate studies, she completed a double major at the University of Pittsburgh, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural Studies and in French Language and Literature. She completed executive training at the Center for Creative Leadership in San Diego, California, and is a graduate of Leadership Pittsburgh.
