Dr. Leifer, CEO and chief scientist of Bubbleology Research International has worked for several decades on natural and unnatural hydrocarbon detection by in situ and remote sensing, is well published (131 peer-reviewed), and is an editor for Remote Sensing with an oil remote sensing focus. BRI conducts research for agencies like NASA, NSF, and NIH, as well as Fortune 500 companies including several of the oil majors. Dr. Leifer has developed and validated field approaches for quantification of oil slick thickness from in situ and airborne platforms, SeaSpiresTM, and for satellite. Dr. Leifer has developed an in situ mobile truck-based system, SISTERTM (Standard Instrumentation Suite: Truck Enabled for Response), for leak detection and quantification, satellite validation, and comprehensive air quality characterization, using real time trace gas, meteorology and aerosol measurements. BRI is now developing a heavy lift drone Research and Observation Platform air quality lab, SISDROPTM, and a solar-powered trailer air quality and leak detection solutions for environmental monitoring.
